In 2019, APP was facing a series of water treatment problems, such as insufficient design, degraded features of ultrafiltration membrane modules and its serious fouling. Scinor provided corresponding upgrade solutions, using SMT600-P80 UF modules to replace the original system. With strong fibers, high tolerance to bad water quality, the membrane recovered from short term fouling by standard cleaning solution, Scinor’s PVDF ultrafiltration membrane has successfully passed the APP's strict tests, and achieved remarkable results in the actual operation, which was expected to help the plant to treat about 150,000 tons of reclaimed water per day and save about 16 million tons of water per year.
Based on the success of the previous membrane replacement and operation, Scinor and APP decided to join hands to deal with sewage produced by paper mills in 2021. Scinor’s Customer Care System service will combine the APP’s green manufacturing concept, promoting the utilization of sewage resources in Indonesia, even Southeast Asia, jointly establishing a whole new international model of green development.
Under the impacts of COVID-19 in 2020, when many enterprises choose slow and steady development to guarantee basic production capacity. Scinor still make breakthroughs in technological innovation, transforming crisis into opportunity, and never slows down the pace of globalization.
